How to Clean a Stainless Steel Dog Bowl
Your dog's bowl is one of the germiest things in the house, and a quick clean keeps it fresh. Good news: stainless steel makes it easy.
Daily wash. Give food bowls a wash after every meal with hot water and a little washing up liquid, then rinse well. Water bowls deserve a daily refresh and scrub too, not just a top up.
Dishwasher friendly. One of the joys of stainless steel is that it's usually dishwasher safe, so you can pop it in with the rest of the load and let the machine do the work.
Beat the biofilm. That slightly slimy feel on a neglected water bowl is biofilm, a build up of bacteria. A proper scrub with a brush shifts it, so don't just rinse and hope.
Deep clean now and then. Every so often, soak the bowl in a mix of hot water and a splash of white vinegar to cut through grime and freshen it up, then rinse thoroughly.
