Is Duck Good for Dogs?
Duck is one of those proteins that sounds like a treat because it is one. Beyond being delicious, it's actually a really smart choice for a lot of dogs.
Lean and easy to digest. Duck is a lean, easily digestible protein packed with amino acids that support strong muscles, plus a good hit of iron. Tasty and useful, then.
Kind to sensitive dogs. Like ostrich, duck is a novel protein, so it's a great swap for dogs who react to more common meats like chicken or beef. Many owners find it helps calm both dodgy tummies and itchy skin.
The egg bonus. Pair duck with egg yolk and you get a nutrient rich little combo. Egg yolk brings protein, vitamins and healthy fats, making a duck and egg treat a proper tasty pick me up.
How to serve it. As with any treat, keep it to a couple of times a week and no more than about 10 percent of daily food, and introduce anything new gradually so you can spot any sensitivities.
Our egg yolk wrapped in duck is a protein rich indulgence your pooch will adore. More in the natural treats collection.
