How to Put a Bandana on Your Dog

A bandana is the comfiest way to give your dog a signature look. Popping one on is easy once you know the how. Here we go.

Tie or slip on. For a tie style, fold the bandana into a triangle, lay it over your dog's shoulders and tie the ends in a knot at the side or back of the neck. Slip on styles just thread onto the collar, even easier.

Mind the fit. Use the two finger rule: snug enough to stay put, loose enough to slip two fingers underneath. Never tie it tight, and always take it off for unsupervised time and sleep.

Get the size right. A bandana that's too big will droop and slip, too small and it looks a bit strangled. Check the size against your dog's neck measurement.
